- Upon arrival there's a small walking bridge to the island that is full of not so friendly monkeys. There is a fee to enter the park. After a short walk, you will see the nice views of the lake and beautiful surroundings. You can't swim without a life jacket, so be prepared to bring yours or pay another fee to rent one.
- As you enter from the jetty, you will have to pay a small sum to the government and buy tickets. At the ticketing office there is a tour agent who would try to persuade you to buy a package (life jacket + canoe + paddle boat) which he sells for about 3 times the real price. Don't buy tickets from him. Walk down to the lake and there are two stalls at the lake from where you can rent life jackets, canoe and paddle boat for a lot cheaper.
- It is better not to carry any food packets as it is possible that the monkeys may try to snatch the packets. But normally they do not do any harm.
- Not suitable for old folks, It will be difficult for the elderly persons to reach the lake as the steps are steep and also slippery due intermittent rains.
- Bring your swimming attire and always wearing your life jacket.
- The last boat to Dayang Bunting Island is 2pm.
