The waters from Mount Mat Chinchang seven streams cascades down to create a natural architecture of seven natural pools which gave its name - Telaga Tujuh Waterfall or also known as Seven Wells Waterfall. Of course you wouldn't want to miss out one of the must visit spots in Langkawi!
Local folklore mentions that at these wells, fairies came to bathe and play. Might catch a glimpse if you're lucky enough. Above all else, the various flora of the rainforest is easily found and there are macaques, hornbills and giant squirrels inhibit the mountains by the waterfall.
If you are the type that loves to soak in the cooling water and enjoy the marvelous surrounding, estimate your whole trip to be around 3 - 5 hours. There are 3 stages of the waterfall you can venture into. The lower falls will only take about 10 minutes hike. The middle falls will require another 20 minutes hike up and here is where the wells which looked like natural pools are located. Lastly, the top fall will require almost an hour's hike up of nearly 650 steps which are rather steep, depending on your fitness level. The view at the top fall is the most splendid and the water is more cooling.

Rent a car or either take a taxi from your hotel or anywhere in town. It is about 45km from Kuah Town and nearby Oriental Village.

- It is advisable to enter early in the day as it can get dark quite fast by late afternoon.
- Bring along a spare change of clothes and a towel! You definitely couldn't resist the urge to dip in the cooling water once you’re there.
- Wear shoes or sandals with a relatively good grip as you need to hike up to the pools and the route can get slippery.
- Mind your step at the rocks by the water as it can be slimy on some parts and definitely slippery. You wouldn't want to spend your trip with cuts and bruises.
- Taxis on weekdays by the waterfall is quite scarce. You can ask the taxi for a pickup time later or either have a short walk to the Oriental Village nearby to get one.
- The toilets are located at the top and bottom of the waterfall. The toilet at the top fall is usually cleaner.
- There are stalls that sells snacks, drinks and souvenirs by the entrance. There is also a restaurant for you to have a quick fill either going up or once you are down.
