Laman means field and Padi stands for rice in Malay. Laman Padi essentially means rice field. This vast open-air museum comprises a number of rice fields, herb gardens and galleries or museums where the process and evolution of rice cultivation & harvesting in Langkawi is exhibited.
Even the facilities over here are quite poor and lack maintenance but overall are still worth visiting if you never get into this kind of museum why not give it a chance.

The most convenient way to get here is either by Grab, you need to install the Grab by using a mobile phone. If you rent a car or motorbike head to Cenang or simply waze / google map to Laman Padi to get a right direction.

- Laman Padi indoor museum and gallery currently is under renovation until end of December 2020, they will open back the museum by next year 2021
- Stay close with your tour guide at the Paddy Field, noisy sound from the roadside may interrupt because it’s open air.
- Take off your shoes when you want to enter the Paddy Field.
- The depth when you enter the paddy field is just until knee level. It very safe for you to hands on.
