Insiders’ tips
- Temurun is a seasonal waterfall meaning its streams and pools are almost empty during the dry season. For the heaviest flow, visit during or just after wet season (April-December).
- Visit on weekdays as local crowds are common on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
- Shady gazebos are lined along the path to the falls for picnickers or visitors with lower fitness levels.
- The only toilets available are by the carpark so it's best to make use of them before walking to the falls.
- The natural rock steps between the middle and upper tiers have no hand railing so be very careful when climbing up.
- Always secure your belongings and keep them out of sight while you're swimming to avoid monkey theft. Your items are safest in reusable fabric bags as monkeys are used to locals bringing plastic bags full of food and think anything wrapped in plastic is fair game.
