Pasir Tengkorak Beach is an isolated beach set along Langkawi’s northwestern coastline, featuring a forested area, soft white sands, and pristine waters that are perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Langkawi Island. Often overlooked by tourists due to its rather hidden gem, this beach is just 4 km east of Datai Bay and 2 km away from Temurun Waterfall
Pasir Tengkorak means Skull Sand Beach or Sandy Skull Beach, the origin of the name is based on several local legends that have been passed down through the years. Some claim that it was named after bodies of unfortunate sailors were found washed up on the beach after a massive storm while others believe them to be the victims of a sea monster.
From Pasir Tengkorak Beach looking out to the sea is Tarutao Island National Park of Thailand. The island was used as prison in the late 1930.

There are also unique rock formations located on both ends of the beach which date back to over 500 million years.Pasir Tengkorak Beach also very nearby with Temurun waterfall, the highest waterfall in Langkawi.

Pasir Tengkorak Beach is far from center of attraction like Cenang Beach or Kuah. You can rent a motorbike, car or take a Grab (e-hailing service) to take you there. Use Waze or Google Map application to set your direction. it take around 45 minute from Kuah an about 45 minute from Cenang.

- To use a shower room just pay RM 1, the counter is actually a stall nearby with the rest room
- Bring towel and picnic mat
- The water is shallow and very nice to swim
