- There is a road up Gunung Raya which you could walk up and from the top there is a trek down through the rainforest. Make sure you are wearing proper clothing, have water, some food and mobile phones with you and above all, tell someone where you are going.

- The best time to see views from Gunung Raya are early in the morning at 7 or 7:30am when the sun is behind your back, standing at the observation platform. The colors are magnificent.
