Spanning about 100 square kilometers in the North-East of Langkawi Island, Kilim Karst Geoforest Park is one of the three geoforest parks located here and is approximately 500 millions years old.
It is known for its unique geological features which include sandy beaches, mangrove swamps, limestone formations, multiple caves and sea arches to name a few. For this reason it was awarded the UNESCO World Geopark status in 2016.

- Carry enough sun block and drinking water with you. Even if the weather feels alright, prolonged sun exposure can have some pretty adverse effects on your skin!
- September to October is the rainy reason and it’s best to avoid the island at this time as the weather can hamper your day. January to March is the high season for tourists with great weather but the mid season of April to August is great as well with the low prices and decent weather.
- September to March is the migratory season for birds and with a good pair of binoculars you can spot many different species here.
