Bukit Kiara Park is actually a neighbourhood between Mont’ Kiara and Damansara. The park sees an estimated 4,000 visitors during the weekends, comprising locals and expatriates. It is also home to streams of Level 1 standard: water that is safe for consumption. The park touted to serve not only Taman Tun Dr Ismail in Kuala Lumpur, but also nearby Sri Hartamas, Mont’ Kiara and Damansara Heights.

The park consists of several hiking trails which totals up to 15km and a hill which is 250m high that are suitable for hiking, walking, and biking trails - both paved and dirt, that weave through a lush jungle park with creeks and waterfalls, mostly undeveloped. The hiking experience can last up to 2 hours depends on the trails that you took. There are the easy trails with gentle inclines, the not-so easy ones and finally, the really steep and challenging trails. There are also challenging and punishing trails with steep inclines which take you up to the top in the shortest time possible that is only recommended for someone that is really fit.

Wear appropriate clothing for the trail conditions and season. In hot and humid Malaysia, it is advisable to wear quick-drying clothing. Also, carry a first aid kit with you. Every outdoor person must have a personal first aid kit with proper medical background information inside. The park doesn’t offer any medical team prepared within the area. Make sure to bring lots of water - getting dehydrated on the trail is hazardous.
