Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple is a Chinese Buddhist temple was built in 1994 in Jenjarom and it sits on a vast 16 acres land. This temple has become a popular attraction in the past few years as there is a lantern and floral show every Chinese New Year which will be ongoing for 15 days. During this time, the temple is transformed into a beautiful art exhibit with colourful displays of LED lights and bright lanterns during the night.
One of most popular features of this temple is the 18 statues of Arhats and 33 statues of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in which is said to be the different stages to Buddhism. This temple also has a large sitting Buddha in its main shrine as well as dining, lecture and meditation halls within its premise for devotees and worshippers. Apart from that, there is also a scenic zen garden where one can relax and reflect on their lives here in the grounds of Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple.

From the city of Shah Alam, it takes approximately 35 minutes to get there via Lebuhraya Lembah Klang Selatan or 50 minutes via Lebuhraya Shah Alam. Depending on which route you choose, planning ahead is always advisable. Public buses and taxi are also available to reach Jenjarom. If you are from Kuala Lumpur, take the Komuter train to reach Shah Alam station first, then you could rent a local cab to reach here.

- It is also advisable to arrive early evening in order to get a decent parking spot and also to catch the light shows there as it can get very crowded during festive seasons.
- In the recent years, with the light shows and art display, Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple has became a must visit for most locals there as it has a different theme every year.
- Apart from that, it is also recommended that you prepare mosquito repellents as it is outdoors and it can get very hot as well with the crowd building up especially during Chinese New Year.
