Sasaran Beach is only accessible on the first and fifteenth of the Lunar month and also four days before and after these 2 dates. Meaning, the Sky Mirror is only open twice a month during these two new moon and full moon periods. The sand bar only appears when the tide is low and during clear skies, you can see a mirror like reflection of the sky, hence the name sky mirror. People often compare sky mirror phenomenon with one of Bolivia’s ‘Salar de Uyuni’, which happens to have the same natural effect.
