Bukit Timah Hill stands at 163 metres and it’s the highest natural point in Singapore. Owing to Singapore’s equatorial climate, the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve; of which Bukit Timah Hill is a part of, is a flora and fauna haven. Singapore’s largest hill is a mere 12km away from the city, allowing a quick escape from the bustling city to admire the nation’s biodiversity.
While at Bukit TImah Hill, you can also stop by the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Visitor Centre before starting on the trail. Then prepare mentally for the ascend up the Main Road to the Summit. There are many huts to catch your breath, such as the Kuruing Hut after the first steep segment of Main Road and Simpang Hut further up.
If you wish to venture off the Main Road, the Summit Path consists of a flight of stairs all the way to the top of Bukit Timah Hill. Despite being the steeper route, one can reach the summit faster with the Summit Path. After conquering the hill, take a picture with the rock at the summit to remember your trip here!

By MRT, you can alight at Beauty World MRT Station and take Exit A. The reserve is a 30-minute walk away from the station. Travellers can also reach here by bus. Simply alight at Upper Bukit Timah Road and take a 10-minute walk to the Reserve. Buses serving Upper Bukit Timah Road are 67, 75, 170, 173, 184, 852 and 961.
