Standing tall at 131 metres above sea level in the centre of Sentosa Island, the Tiger Sky Tower is Singapore’s highest observation tower. It used to be named “Carlsberg Sky Tower” after Carlsberg Group’s sponsorship from 2004-2008, while the current name is due to Tiger Beer’s sponsorship from 2008 up until now. Anticipate a short waiting time with the air-conditioned cabin accommodating up to 55 guests at a time.
Slowly ascend up the tower as the rotating cabin allows a magnificent 360-degree view of Sentosa Island, the whole Lion City and surrounding Southern Islands. On particularly clear days, you might just be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of neighbouring Malaysia’s state of Johor and Indonesia’s city of Batam from Tiger Sky Tower. As you enjoy the view at the panoramic platform, pay attention to the cabin commentary taking you through the sights surrounding Sentosa Island.
Although the ride only lasts for a few minutes, there are multiple opportunities to take stunning photographs at every angle. Going up the tower during sunset is definitely recommended as visitors could witness a stunning view from above. At night, the cabin’s exterior lights up, transforming it into a beauty to behold. Witness Sentosa Island’s transformation from day to night, illuminated by city lights against a dark backdrop, only at Tiger Sky Tower.
