Rock climbing at the Dairy Farm Nature Park is not a feat for the faint-hearted. A certain amount of skill is required to climb the hill here. Expect to be challenged physically and mentally as you focus on completing each step of the climb. According to reviewers, smearing is hard as the granite is both smooth and hard, with small and flat handholds and footholds. The crag comprised of a hill feature that has been quarried through the middle leaving steep cliff faces on two sides.
The hill at this park is also a good place to practice trad climbing or bouldering. Do get an experienced trad climber to teach you how to place trad gear if you are unfamiliar with it. Get well prepared for the climb and you will have a smashing time climbing at the Dairy Farm Nature Park! If you are not an avid climber, there are interesting outdoor places that you can discover in the area including cowsheds, trek on various trails, try an extreme mountain biking at its dedicated trail, or walk around the quarry.

- TDo not go rock climbing if you feel unfit or if you are not confident with your skills.
- TEnsure all safety equipment are worn and fastened securely before starting the climb.
- TDo test the holds by ‘jiggling’ them before climbing on them. Look out for rocks marked with blue or white crosses-they are marked as suspect and should be used with great caution.
- TListen to the safety briefing and take note of ways in case of an emergency.
