- Due to sharp reefs, we suggest you to bring your own surf booties to avoid getting cuts on your feet. You can also rent it at shops there.
- If you are not a heavy swimmer, bring someone to accompany you surfing.
- If you are a beginner, choose your surfing spot appropriately or ask the local guides here to recommend one. Do not get too excited catching the big waves.
- Be mindful of other surfers and their boards as some areas here will attract huge crowd of surfers in one spot.

- There is no entrance fee to surf in Uluwatu area. It is free of charge if you bring your own surfboard. However, you can always rent one here for a few hours at an average price of IDR 150,000.
- For surfboard rental, it is fairly cheaper if you rent it from Bali central towns such as Kuta instead and bring them here. It can probably be yours for the whole day for around the same rate.
- Uluwatu surfing area can be entered from the parking lot itself. Pass the shops and cafes until you see steep stairs leading you to a somewhat hidden cave where your surfing adventure should begin.
