Located at Gunung Kidul in Yogyakarta, Goa Pindul is a highly-visited cave by tourists to explore its karst formations, crystal rocks and magical nature paintings formed on the walls. One of the stalactites here in the cave of Goa Pindul is known to be the fourth largest in the world. Expect bats to be here everywhere too!
The first part of your journey will start by going into the dark cave. During the day, rays of sunlight will accompany your journey which makes your experience even more beautiful. In the light zone, you may stop for a while to swim or go for a quick dip in the natural pools.
This magical journey inside the cave is also known for its myth such as ‘Batu Perkasa’, a magical stone that is believed to bring powers for any man who touches it. In the very middle of Goa Pindul cave, you can also find a pearl that drips water droplets. There is another local myth here about this pearl as it is said to enhance women’s skin and beauty by using the droplets to wash the face. The second part of your trip is where you will be tubing and cruising in the open area once you reached the end of the cave. Find mini waterfalls to explore and stop by to rejuvenate yourself after a messy cave exploration. Enjoy the great scenery and take this opportunity to relax while slowly going with the flow along the river in your rubber tube!
