Safety tips
Safety tips
- It is not advisable to hike here alone as hikers have been robbed or ambushed in the past.
- Sun burn can be a serious issue at the summit. Cover every part of your body and wear sun block as well.
- Use a walking stick if possible so that you won’t put too much strain on your knees.
- Don’t stray off the trodden path in the jungle. If you don’t feel confident going through the jungle route, it will connect to the main road at a point and you can hike on the tarred road path instead.
Insiders’ tips
Insiders’ tips
- Morning is the best time to hike up. It is cooler in the evening but since it gets darker, it is not advisable unless you’re familiar with the route.
- If you’re a beginner, it is better to go through the main road path as some can find the jungle trails to be a bit challenging. However, the main road path would take up a slightly longer time.
