Salang Village is famous for its beaches and its beautiful blue water. The beaches around Kampung Salang is probably the most renowned ones in the whole of Pulau Tioman. What most people notice here is that the village and resort environment has no sign of crowd or congestion because normally people will be at the beach or diving.

Apart from snorkeling or sunbathing at the beach, you can also go diving. There is two place to go diving in Salang. One is at Salang Wreck which is located somewhere in the middle of the bay and Salang Reef North which is nearby the rocky coast. Salang is the ideal place to do underwater adventures.

Kampung Salang is the only village in Tioman that does not use any motor vehicles. People here get around only by feet or rental bicycles. You can rent bicycles from the locals at a very cheap price and if you are lucky, they would give allow you to use the bicycle for free.

The beach in Salang is beautiful so if you are looking for a relaxing vacation in Tioman, definitely come here. There are a lot of shops in Salang that is available for grocery shopping if you are planning to cook as the food in Tioman is a bit expensive. Don’t forget to wear mosquito repellent as there could be a lot of beach bugs in the day and mosquitos during the night.
