Being a stop point for busses, cabs and many other vehicles, Kubu Bentayan is known for being both a bus station and a local food court server. The busses stop here as a point to deliver passengers to their destination or just simply picking up passengers from the place, making it a bus stand. Just like how the place serve the purpose, Kubu Bentayan marks a part of an important Malaysia history as the last defence fort for Malacca Empire before their fall to the Portuguese in 1511. Many believed that is among contribute to the development of the small Muar that used to be called as “Padang”.
The history makes it an interesting place despite the remnants of war has completely vanished such as the fort and the debris due to the factor of time, but you could replenish your time and hunger here by enjoying local foods served by the locals.
