Grisek Hotspring has been founded around more than 100 years ago when the locals explored the place and discovered a hot pool emanating steam and smoke from the inside. It was then being used for medicament purpose intended for therapy and procure to some sicknesses.
Nowadays, the hotspring is managed by the locals and have some infrastructures build around it to welcome visitors and those who are looking for cure of ailments. The hot spring is clean, well-maintained, surrounded by village that is filled with greenery landscapes and sceneries. The place is often being the destination place for travelers and visitors to relieve and eliminate fatigues from journeys and activities they do in their daily lives.

The locals around provide selling local cookings recipe materials and condiments such as mee-bandung, asam pedas, tempoyak, rojak, fried rice, pilaff and salted dry fishes. It is in the form of raw materials that need to be mixed in with the cookings. You can bring some home and try it out with your local ingredient recipes such as mee, noodles, rice and spices.
Normally, they would sell local cuisine and snack food called “keropok lekor” and “pisang goreng”. Keropok lekor is a fish crackers that is delicious to be eaten with spices they provided and goreng pisang is a cuisine of banana sliced and poured into flour that then being fried in oil and served with spicy soy-sauce ketchup. You can bring some home for memories.
