If you have ample time to spare, you can also arrange this trip along with other nearby attractions in Ciwidey area. The best way to get here if by hiring a private vehicle with a driver. Alternatively, there is also public transportation available to get here via bus or local train.

- Many suggest visiting the lake during the dry season as visibility will be limited during the rainy season from all the thick fogs.
- Prepare jackets or wear thicker attires as the weather can get a bit chilly in the evening.
- Do be aware that there is also a fee imposed on every vehicle entering the lake area which is IDR 11,500 per car, IDR 3,500 per motorcycle or IDR 22,000 per bus or truck.
- There is a different rate for entrance fee charged to locals and foreigners. On weekdays, locals will be charged at IDR 18,000 per pax while foreigners will be charged at IDR 135,000 per pax. On weekends, it is IDR 20,500 per pax for locals and IDR 186,000 per pax for foreigners.
- If you wish for an uninterrupted visit, going here on the weekdays is highly recommended as the area can be quite crowded on weekends or during local public holidays.
