- The treks at Gunung Batu are mostly clay so it will be a bit dangerous during rainy seasons. Do take extra note if it is raining to avoid accidents.
- It is not advisable to bring along children when hiking here as it is not a child-friendly area with minimal facilities available.
- Do be extra cautious if you are a beginner as there are several treks with different difficulties to it. If you are unsure, do ask around for help or get someone to accompany your trip here.

- If you do not want to hike alone, there are also events organized by private local groups to hike in a group. Transportation is provided so there is no need to worry on how to get there yourself. This is a fun and productive way to explore the beauty of Gunung Batu and also to meet new friends.
- Start your journey before dawn then you will get to enjoy the sunrise view when you get to the top of the mountain.
- On a clear day, you will get to see Bandung’s attractions like Tangkuban Perahu, Gunung Putri and Mount Burangrang in the north and in the east, spot two other mountains which are Mount Palasari and Mount Bukittunggul.
