Kampung Cai Ranca Upas occupies a 215 hectare area and situated approximately 1700 meters above sea level. Its huge space can accommodate about 10,000 visitors so campers can have ample space to choose from on where they want to camp.
There is also a forest reserve situated within the vicinity and there, where one can find rare species of trees such as Pasang, Huru and Kurai to name a few.Do be prepared to explore the beauty of Kampung Cai Ranca Upas as the sunset and sunrise view is really breathtaking. When night comes, the Milky Way is exceptionally beautiful so do take the time to really enjoy the view!
Apart from the camping ground, there is also a deer conservatory where visitors can interact with the deer. Visitors can feed them by purchasing the vegetables prepared by the management there and interact closely with these wildlife animals. Besides all these, there is also a hot water pool complete with water slides and waterboom where visitors’ especially little kids will enjoy but do be aware that one needs to also pay an extra fee to enjoy these facilities.

- The surroundings of the location especially the deer conservatory can get muddy if it is raining so do prepare mud boots or suitable shoe wears when you are there.
- Many visitors will feed the deer at the conservatory, but please do not provoke them as they can also retaliate if they felt threatened by you.
- When walking at night, do not wander too far by yourself. Get a friend or a family member to accompany you instead.

- Please bring your own camping gear otherwise there will be an expensive rental fee charged to rent the camping equipments there.
- Do bring an extra set of clothes and jackets as temperature can change vastly from 17-20 degrees in the day to 0 degrees at night.
- There is no need to do any advance booking should you plan to camp there as the campsites aren’t usually fully occupied.
- If you are hungry in the middle of the night, fret not! There is a 24-hour food stall available within the vicinity.
- If you are feeling a little too cold, there are firewoods available for sale at the food stalls or warung which will cost you approximately IDR 15,000.
- Do check the weather forecast in advance before deciding to camp at Kampung Cai Ranca Upas. Try to avoid going during rainy seasons as the majority of the tracks will be muddy.
- Entrance fee to Kampung Cai Ranca Upas is IDR 10,000 per pax and additional charge for camping will be charged at IDR 10,000 per pax / per night.
- To experience the hot water pool or waterboom activity, there is an additional fee of IDR 3,500 and IDR 10,000 respectively.
- If you do not wish to camp here, you can also visit Kampung Cai Ranca Upas on a day trip along with other nearby attractions in Ciwidey such as Kawah Putih Lake instead.
