Nestled away in Tamparuli, Zip Borneo by the Kiulu River is located 45 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu city by car. It is a thrill seeker’s paradise as the company offers activities such as abseiling, wall climbing, jungle trekking and ziplining in the outdoors. It’s run by professionals who place an emphasis on safety and fun.
Ziplining here takes you first to a briefing where your guide talks you through the equipment and safety aspect of ziplining. Once that’s done you’re good to go to climb up the 18m high tower which looks way larger when you’re physically standing next to it and begin your zipline adventure. You’re fitted with the harness and away you go soaring through the air over the Kiulu River! You then can come back via the zipline and you’d have traveled over 1,050 feet above the air. It’s worth the adrenaline rush you get as well as getting over your fear of heights once and for all.
