Located on Wan Man Island, the Islamic Civilization Park opened in 2008 and is the first of its kind to display Islamic cultural art in a theme park setting. It takes up a stunning 22 hectares of land and can be reached by a convenient bus service or by the river boats or taxi.
The highlight of the Islamic Civilization Park is the Monument Park where there are 22 replicas of famous Islamic monuments from all around the world. These include the Al-Hambra CItadel in Spain, Dome of The Rock in Palestine and Taj Mahal from India. Some of these monuments are even interactive. The park showcases the beauty of Islamic architecture and lets you learn a little more about the culture.
Located within the area is also The Crystal Mosque, which is made up from a stunning mixture of glass and steel, drawing inspiration from Moorish and Gothic designs, is also located on this island.
