Located in the humble village of Senaru, Tiu Kelep Waterfall is a double tiered waterfall complex that is hidden deep in the forest. To get there, visitors are required to go through a jungle trail by hiking. Once there, take pleasure in the beautiful nature by spend hours of calmness, listening to the waters falling, swimming in the pools to clear your mind and soul. Tiu Kelep Waterfall is one of the most stunning falls in Indonesia so far. Some even claim that its beauty is otherworldly.
The rocky cliffs which you will see as you take the route to reach the waterfall are literally covered with beautiful flora and fauna like ferns. With about 45 meters high, there are little falls that make up the Tiu Kelep Waterfall. The water flows into a large base pool which you are allowed to swim in if accompanied by a guide. Apparently, during the rainy season, the heavy fall of the water can create a whirlpool that runs quite deep. Getting to the pool is also a bit challenging, as you have to brave the cold waters and walk on a lot of slippery rocks.
There are two trekking routes to get to Tiu Kelep Waterfall. First is from Rembiga-Anyar Senaru, where you will pass Pusuk woods, find monkeys playing on trees and sitting by the route. The second route is Mataram-Ampenan-Pemenang-Anyar-Senaru. This route lets you enjoy beach scenery along the way and it leads you to both Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfall.

Here, you will get to indulge in special local cuisines originating from Lombok while being accompanied by the scenery of the forest and valley panorama, where Tiu Kelep Waterfall and Sendang Gile Waterfall are located.

Tiu Kelep Waterfall is located in Senaru, north of Lombok. Senaru is reachable within roughly 3 hours drive from Mataram city. There are public means of transport that will take you to the waterfall but it is advisable to rent a car and a guide.

- Avoid visiting here during the rainy season as it could be dangerous. The water flows down heavier during this season and it creates a whirlpool that runs quite deep.
- You can also have a picnic at the base beside the waterfall. So bring food, snacks and plenty water supplies for your trip here.
- The locals believe that the water from Tiu Kelep Waterfall and Sendang Gile Waterfall have healing properties to cure many diseases as well as making someone looks younger!
