Muhammad Cheng Hoo Mosque is built by the Chinese Muslim community here. The elements of both Chinese and Islamic cultures can be seen in the architecture designs of this mosque which also resembles the design of a temple. This mosque is a dedication to Cheng Hoo who is a chinese admiral Muslim. It is claimed that he not only trade and made many friendships throughout his travels to Southeast Asia, but he also helped to spread the Islam religion.
Observe the unique architecture at Muhammad Cheng Hoo Mosque as it combines different elements from the Chinese, Middle East as well as the local Javanese culture and these different elements can be seen in the designs on the mosque. You can easily get to Muhammad Cheng Hoo Mosque via taking public transportations like the bus. One of the closest bus stations sited to the mosque is the Hi Tech Mall station, from there, you can opt to travel to Taman Makam Pahlawan via a trishaw for a touristy feel or simply walk there since the mosque is located nearby.

- If you are planning to visit the mosque, please avoid inappropriate dress codes as a sign of respect to the culture there. You would not be able to enter the mosque if you are wearing shorts. If you are in shorts, the security guard there will hand you a sarong to tie around your waist.
- Do stay till night time to enjoy the beautiful view there as the lighting is said to be really nice and the mosque exudes a sense of tranquility and calmness when one is there.
- The mosque might be a bit hard to trace but do have a lookout for a basketball court which sited in front of the mosque. This might make it easier to find the mosque as it is located just behind the basketball court.
- If you would like to know more about the mosque, you can also have a little chat with the caretaker there. Some visitors do mention that the caretaker is a friendly person and willing to share some interesting stories regarding the mosque.
- Do remember to snap more pictures when you are there as this mosque is really unique in terms of its history and also its architectural design.
- There really is no best time to visit the mosque as it is usually not crowded.
