Located 30km from the city of Miri, it takes approximately 45 minutes to get to Lambir Hills National Park by car. Despite being one of the smaller forests in the state, don’t let its size fool you! It has been recorded that there are over 237 species of birds and 64 species of mammals coexist in this area of 6952 hectares.
The special geography of Lambir Hills also gives rise to multiple pools, waterfalls and slopes along the forest where there are about more than a dozen hiking trails. These include famous ones such as the Latak Waterfall Trail which is a easy hike leading up to a 25-metre high waterfall. If waterfalls are not your thing there is also a Bukit Lambir Summit trail that leads up to beautiful views of the South China Sea.
