Thanks to their local government, this initiative was introduced to uplift Jakarta’s tourism industry. Categorized into 3 different routes namely modern Jakarta, old Jakarta and culinary route, each route will bring passengers to different locations. These places of interest will also include main locations for historic spots, shopping experience and culinary art.
This double decker bus also known as Mpok Siti locally or Miss Siti in English. It is not that hard to spot these buses as they are in striking blue and yellow. The first route is meant for historic spots where the buses operate every Sunday from 12.00 pm till 8.00 pm. Whenever theses buses pass through historical buildings, automatic narration will be played to explain about the buildings.
Second route, the culinary art route operates every Saturday from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm where it will go through famous food and culinary spots like Pasar Baru and Pecenongan area. You can also view Jakarta’s nightlife by taking this route. The third route is catered for a great shopping experience, where you can go every Monday to Saturday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and 12.00 pm to 8.00 pm on Sundays.
