Ujung Kulon National Park is widely known for being home to the endangered Javan rhinos. This extensive park is also home to other wildlife creatures, including over 35 mammals as well as more than 57 rare plant species. Some of the species that are unique to Ujung Kulon National Park including bantengs, Javan gibbons, muntjacs, and langurs.
There are two ways to get to this park; by boat or by land. The sea route will take around 2 to 3 hours. By land or driving will take around 2 hours to reach here from Jakarta central. Although the area seem too vast for you to fully explore, a day trip still possible for any visitor to enjoy but your trip need to start as early as 7.00 am.
If you go with a tour guide, typically your journey will begin with a speed boat to reach the park and your breakfast will be served on the boat while cruising around the park. By 10.00 am, you will reach Ujung Kulon and you will start to explore this beautiful forest up to Karang Copong. Along the way, you will get to witness many kind of animals up close!
