Pahang is the third largest state in Malaysia, after Sarawak and Sabah, and the largest in Peninsular Malaysia. The state occupies the huge Pahang River river basin. It is bordered to the north by Kelantan, to the west by Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, to the south by Johor and to the east by Terengganu and the South China Sea.

Kuantan, the capital state of Pahang, is filled with exciting attractions from the tranquil, cultural, and delicious. Enjoy a beach side soiree at Teluk Chempedak beach with many seafood options.

Discover the Sungai Lembing Mines - which was once a long and deep underground mine for tin ore. For a fun splashing day for the little ones, stop over to Bukit Gambang Park with a water theme park resort and safari park.

For a breather from the hot tropical weather, Cameron Highlands offers a quick and refreshing getaway with miles and miles of tea plantation as the eye can see! Genting Highlands - dubbed Malaysia's playground is also nearby featuring entertainment attractions at the top of the peak. However, the area is experiencing heavy construction and is best visited when officially launched once again. But no worries, you can still go strawberry picking at the many fruit farms situated all along the roadside.

There are also two famous lakes to be found in Pahang - Bera Lake (Tasik Bera) and Chini Lake (Tasik Chini) which are both filled with exotic wildlife and local myths.

If you're just looking to bum on the beach however, you can choose from either the Tioman Island for its untouched beauty or enjoy luxurious vacation life at the many resorts in Cherating.
