Such exploitations of this endangered sea turtles almost led to the extinction of these species in Bali island.

On top of that, you can also help to save injured turtles which sometimes are caused by parasites. The most exciting part here is releasing the turtle hatchlings freely back into the sea. It is really interesting to experience this as part of the volunteering activity at Bali Sea Turtle Society. The turtles are usually released during sunset and you can observe these adorable creatures following the moonlight’s direction to head back into the sea.
